Meet The Team

Tiffany Chen

Hi! I'm Tiffany Chen and I'm the founder and executive director of the Performing Hearts Project. 

I founded PHP to create opportunities for students to showcase their passions while also bringing moments of connection and comfort to hospitalized patients and senior citizens. It's about bridging two worlds, giving young people a platform to be seen and heard while reaching out to those who need hope and healing. It's my way of making an impact, one performance and one connection at a time. ​

Jessica Kirana

Jessica is a senior at the Bronx High School of Science. She is an avid reader with a deep passion for science. As the COO of the Performing Hearts Project, her love for science fuels her commitment to uplifting patients through art and aiding the healthcare field. Outside of PHP, she is currently conducting immunology research at NYU and is an aspiring cardiothoracic surgeon.

Hanson Chen

Hi! My name is Hanson, and I'm the Chief Marketing Officer for the Performing Hearts Project. I am currently a senior at Brooklyn Technical High School ('26), where my major is in architecture. I plan to pursue Architecture or Chemical Engineering in the future. Through PHP, I've found a space where I can fully be creative with designing and managing posts along with the media director.

Kaitlyn Toy

Hi! My name is Kaitlyn Toy, and I serve as the media director for the Performing Hearts Project. In this role, I manage the Instagram with our CMO, and I built and manage the website. I’m currently a senior at the Bronx High School of Science, where my passion for the biological sciences drives my goal of pursuing a career in medicine. Through my work with PHP, I hope to raise awareness about the healthcare community while supporting its mission to uplift and inspire. I love media and design because it allows me to give voice to the unheard and inspire change through creativity. Beyond PHP, I am involved with the Bronx Science Observatory yearbook, work as a summer intern at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and volunteer as a Senior SAT Tutor with Schoolhouse.world.​

Gisella Mardoyo

Hello! My name is Gisella, and I'm the Chapter Director of the PHP. As Chapter Director, I oversee the chapter's development and help guide them advancing our mission. I'm currently a senior at MCSM and am interested in neurology and psychology. I plan to pursue these fields through the Pre-Med track moving forward. I enjoy taking walks, watching movies, and playing with stray cats. I'm excited to meet you all!

Michelle Gee

Hi! My name is Michelle and I'm the Volunteer Coordinator and Performance Team director for PHP. Based in NYC, I am currently a high school senior at LaGuardia High School where I specialize in instrumental music. I am passionate about bridging the arts and healthcare and I'm grateful to PHP for allowing me to share that passion with others. I look forward to a future with PHP and meeting you all! 

Jayden Huang

​Hi, my name is Jayden and I am the Art Director for PHP. I am a junior and architecture major at Brooklyn Technical High School. As a student in the architecture major, I have long held a deep love for design as well as the visual arts. Through PHP, I have had the opportunity to use my creativity and love for the arts to organize events that bring joy to various patients. I look forward to continuing this endeavor, using the arts to benefit patients of all ages.

Erica Xing

Hello! Erica Xing, a senior at Bronx Science, is the Workshop Director for PHP! She has had the pleasure of meeting so many people through this organization and can't wait to continue forming close bonds within her community. Erica is passionate about providing service to others, especially those in need.

Kaylee Fan

Hi! My name is Kaylee Fan and I'm the fundraising director for Performing Hearts Project! I'm currently a senior at Brooklyn Technical High School in the finance major and I plan on studying eonomics or finance in college as well! I hope to be able to contribute to meaningful causes through PHP and help raise funds to continue the PHP mission!

Ashlyn Chau

Hi! My name is Ashlyn Chau and I’m the social media manager for the Performing Hearts Project, which has given me the opportunity to bring my creativity to life. I’m currently a junior from Maryland at Paint Branch High School with a strong passion in the healthcare field, who’s on track to become a CNA. I want to create a supportive environment for everyone to stay and assist in spreading the PHP’s mission to reach others.
