Get Involved

Volunteers will be able to choose from a variety of different teams: Fundraising, Performance, Art, and Workshop.

How to Join the PHP Community

Step 1

Choose Team(s). PHP has 4 teams: Fundraising Team, Art Team, Performance Team, and Workshop Team. Read the descriptions of each team carefully and choose what interests you (you can apply to multiple teams!). Team descriptions are located below.

Step 2

Apply. Once you have chosen your team, fill out an application for that team. Applications are located below.

Step 3

Sit tight! Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email within a week. This email will include instructions on how to get started and officially join your team as a PHP member! Welcome to the team!

Step 4

Accumulate service hours. Once you have completed a task, your service hours will be recorded. Our organization is PVSA certified, so you are eligible to apply for the Presidential's Volunteer Service Award. Contact chentiffany1108@gmail.com when you are ready to apply!

* Our teams collaborate with each other to make each event come to life. It is recommended to join more than one!

Our teams

Fundraising team

Our Fundraising Team helps raise money for The Performing Hearts Project. The money will go towards good causes while funding our efforts. Volunteers for this team will help carry out fundraisers such as drives and campaigns.

Volunteers for this team should be outgoing, and be willing to promote our events and cause.

Art team

Our Art Team will be responsible for creating art work that we will send out to patients in recovery and nursing homes. They will also be responsible for creating the banners and posters for other teams and events.

Volunteers for this team should be willing to put effort into their work and collaborate with other teams.

This team is recommended for those who like to work behind the scenes, as part of their job is to help set up for other teams' events.

Performance team

Our Performance Team consists of our performers, such as dancers, singers, musicians, and actors. They will put on shows to provide comfort and entertainment for people of all ages in hospitals and nursing homes. This will be a chance for ambitious young performers to showcase their talent to an audience.

Volunteers for this team should be enthusiastic about performing, as this is a great opportunity for those who want to be recognized.

Workshop team

Our Workshop Team is responsible for recreational activities that liven up and provide entertainment for people of all ages in hospitals and nursing homes. Some of these recreational activities include painting, storytelling, and more.

Volunteers should be outgoing and strive to create a positive environment, as you will be interacting directly with patients of all ages.
